Shapes & Colors

As an update, Maddox is still feeling yucky, but his fever has not come back since yesterday afternoon when I took him to the doctor. He tested negative for strep and they didn't think this was the flu, so that means he's just fighting a yucky virus. He's quite contagious at the moment, so we all may be on the couch watching movies in a few days! :)

But here are some photos I took from last Friday... before he got sick. When you homeschool, even 2 year olds can get an assignment! I dug out this old Discovery Toys game I had and let Maddox have some fun. He already knows his colors, so this was some good practice on his shapes.

Of course, he liked to stack the shapes on top of each other as you see here. But hey, it's all good. He was quite partial to the circles.

And when he finally finished a picture (that is, finished according to HIS standards), he threw up his hands and said, "Yay!!!"

It was so cute!! Maddox was certainly more entertaining than my serious 9 year old, still in his pajamas (it was a student-declared pajama day), working on his OWN picture puzzle...

I just couldn't persuade him to throw up his hands for a victory dance.

Ah well, Maddox had fun. Maybe even learned something, too. However, all of the small circles seemed to have disappeared from the box after this little lesson. I wonder where they'll turn up...
