Easter 2010

A little late in posting, but I've been having trouble with my Photoshop program. So here they are - better late than never!

The neighborhood had a little Easter egg hunt... not a very exciting one since it was just in a field. But the Easter bunny showed up and Maddox enjoyed that.

Then we did the traditional dyeing of Easter eggs on Saturday night. Maddox got into it this time and didn't crack a single egg!

These two still haven't outgrown the fun!

Think Maddox is proud of the bounty?!

Butterfly Pavilion - Again...

I know, I know... it's been way too long since my last post. We've been busy, as usual. But here are some cute pictures I wanted to share from our field trip to the Butterfly Pavilion. We went back so Mason & Morgan could see it.

Maddox chose to wear his "Flower Shirt" because he thought the butterflies would like it...

...and he was right! You can see the butterfly crawling up his shirt!






Now for you squeemish folks, you may want to shield your eyes for this next part... the boys got a chance to meet Rosie... a rosehair tarantula.



..and yes, even little Maddox held it this time! (He was afraid to the other time we went, but seeing big brothers do it gave him the confidence he needed!)

Hope you enjoyed the photos... and I'll have you know that I steered WAY CLEAR of that dreadful cockroach display this time!!

Havasu Falls

Michael, Mason, and Morgan had the opportunity to take a tremendous trip with the Boy Scout Troop. They traveled to the Grand Canyon and then backpacked down to Havasu Falls.

 They visited a petrified forest on the way.

 They made it!!

 It's a good thing this Momma didn't go on this particular trip... Dad says that some of the climbs were downright dangerous!! I think I'd have been a nervous wreck the whole time.

 The boys said that there were dogs all over the place.

 Instead of going home with the Troop, Michael took the boys home via a different route... and they stopped by Hoover Dam...

 ...and even Vegas! (but they got out of there before nightfall to avoid the crazies...!)
