Steamboat Springs

We've never skied at Steamboat yet, so one of our spring ski trips was spent there this year. We rented a condo and had a lovely time together!

Maddox is doing very well on his skis since he spent so much time in his Bombers class.

Occasionally, I get to go out with the big boys... I may be a bit slower than they are... okay, a LOT slower than they are, but we always have a good time.

And with these funny hats, the boys are always easy for me to spot.

Aside from skiing, we also visited a cool ice castle exhibit. The company that made this travels to different resorts to show them off - I imagine each one is a bit different.

Here, the boys are sitting on the ice "throne."

We caught the exhibit just as the sun was setting, which made for beautiful sparkles on the ice.

Morgan was thirsty, so he got resourceful...

We also spent some time in the town of Steamboat Springs... first stop had us buying new boots! This is Maddox's new pair and one of my new pairs (I got TWO!):

We were amazed that EVERY meal we ate in town was very good! For a family of 5 to consistently enjoy their dinner, that's a pretty cool thing indeed. One night, we went out after dinner for some gelato and the boys got a little silly...

Here's a view from our room:

The boys enjoyed just hanging out after an exhausting day of skiing.

One day, Michael took the boys to the hot springs:

It was a lovely trip... but then, we always enjoy our family trips!
