Snowball Fight!

This most recent snow is PERFECT for making snowballs!  So, that's what my crew did late this afternoon... and I had the pleasure of documenting it (that was safer than participating!).

The first thing they did was create a giant barrier wall.  The snow rolls up into balls quite easily - until you simply can't push it anymore.

These giant snow balls completely vacuum up the snow!  That's why they get so huge so fast!

 It was the three boys on one team:

 ...against a completely exposed Dad on the other team!

We were so proud of Maddox - he was fighting like a trooper and got very proficient at dodging Dad's snowballs!  He got pelted in the face a couple times - even had snow packed in his ear (notice how red it is?!), but he was a good sport and had a blast!

 Eventually, he decided to join Dad's team.

Alas, the sun was quickly leaving us and that meant it was time to go in for dinner.

A fun day was had by all, but I think Maddox may have enjoyed it the most... after we went in, he told me that was the "BEST snowball fight EVER!"
