A Day at the Farm

As a member of the Miller Farms CSA, we were able to visit the farm at the end of the season to pick what's left... and there was a LOT left!

We rode in a big trailer behind a tractor to the various fields where we picked carrots, onions, potatoes, celery, pumpkins, corn on the cob...

 Maddox had a blast picking his veggies...

...and then he had a blast EATING them!

 He ate corn, carrots, celery, and even CABBAGE straight from the ground!

And after our day of harvesting, I spent several days stocking our freezer!  The best thing I prepared was fresh pumpkin... we'll enjoy yummy pumpkin pancakes, pumpkin bread, and pumpkin pies for months to come!
