Heather and Conner Visit

We flew Michael's niece and nephew out for a week in July.  They had a blast on our zip line...

And even Maddox had a go...

...after a little coaching from Mom, of course.  :)

But apparently, all went well for him!

 Our swing built for two:

We took them down to Soda Lake to our "beach" - it doesn't have white sand, but it's all we have here in the mountains!

They had fun, even if it was a bit chilly... judging by the look on Conner's face!

I decided to stay nice and warm (if not hot) here on the beach under my umbrella guarding the food.

When they weren't in the water, the kids were building sand castles.

Michael took each of the kids out on the kayak while we were there.

The kids slept out in the tree house for at least two of the nights they were here!

We weren't able to do our fireworks on the 4th, so we pulled them out while the kids were here.  We had fun lighting them in the driveway, but we always had the hose nearby!

Michael taught Heather how to ride the 4-wheeler.

And Conner had his first lesson on our trusty little red Honda.

I took them to the Alpine Slide - one of our favorite places.

We went to Go Paint and each of the kids got to paint something... Heather made a beautiful platter.

 Conner painted Donald Duck.

Mason made a bright and colorful plate.

 Morgan made a skull bank.

Maddox (with my help) made a brown treasure box bank.  He must've been "done" when I was taking the pictures.  :)

We took a drive up to Echo Lake (again, it's one of my favorite places to take photos!), and I got these wonderful shots of all the kids.

And finally, one of my good friends offered to let Heather ride her horse.  What a treat!!

What a nice time we had with the kids!  Now... it's time to get ready for SCOTLAND!
