A First for Morgan

As Morgan will turn 15 this month, and because he wants his driving permit the SECOND he turns 15, Michael took him to a parking lot to get him behind the wheel for the first time!

...and we haven't even gotten Mason legal yet!! (we will within the month, though),

Boys and Bikes

A beautiful Saturday afternoon here in the mountains... the boys decided to check out a new "pump track" they heard about down in Golden. I went along just to document. ;)

Piano Recital

Little Maddox began taking piano lessons in February. He started off unsure of whether he liked this new venture, but as time went on, he has come to love playing and we were all so proud to watch him perform at his first piano recital tonight!

He looked so sharp in his suit and tie... and he played his two songs beautifully!

Not bad for only 3 months of lessons!!

8th Grade Continuation

Morgan had his 8th grade continuation ceremony last night... and now he is on his way to High School. Although I was too far away (and they moved too quickly) to get a good photo of him accepting his certificate, I wanted to commemorate this one memory... which is probably all he will remember anyway. Meet Heather. Morgan's very good friend. ;)

The kids had an "after-party," and I wish Peri & I could've done the fun photo booth, too!

End of a Chapter

This is a scene I have watched every school morning for 2 years... but today marks the last time.

Mason and Morgan have scampered off together to catch the bus so many times, but from now on, Mason will be driving them to school.

End of one chapter... beginning of another!

Lazy Afternoon

It was a beautiful afternoon... and since the big boys were all off on a hike, it was the perfect time for a couple rounds of croquet with my littlest M&M!

Last Middle School Concert

Morgan's final concert at the middle school was tonight. It was a very emotional event as all of the kids absolutely LOVE Mrs. Garrison. It will be sad to say goodbye to her...
